East San José MTIP

En Movimiento: A Transportation Plan for East San José (formerly East San José Multimodal Transportation Improvement Plan) is a community-driven transportation plan that brings together and builds upon past planning efforts, reflects the priorities of this culturally diverse neighborhood, and defines a path forward for implementing multimodal transportation improvements within the study area.

En Movimiento identifies and prioritizes specific transportation projects to improve the mobility of East San José residents. The plan proposes strategies and infrastructure investments that support transit, walking, and bicycling. By reducing the need for private automobile ownership and decreasing the share of trips made by driving alone, the City can provide its residents and workers with more affordable mobility options, improved health and quality of life, and better access to jobs.
